Time Blocks

Time Blocks are groups of closely related events that allow live progress tracking from start to finish. This may be as simple as two events representing start and end times, or a longer, more complex multi-step sequence.

To expand on the simple two-event example: individual events don't actually have durations per se, they're just single points in time. When you enter something like:

20 min vet appointment at 11am

...using natural language, it'll create this time block:

The title of the end event is optional, but it can be nice to add one:

Here's how you might use a 4-event time block:

When the schedule becomes active, the entire time block becomes active when the current time is between its start and end times.

Splitting and merging events

You can add events to or remove them from a time block using the split/merge buttons. Tap an event to start editing, then tap:

Split - to separate an event from a time block:

Merge - to join an event with a time block above or below:

Time blocks can be Live Activities

When a schedule is active, time blocks can become Live Activities (if enabled).

Gaps between events

These gaps between events are unrelated to time blocks - they're simply automatic spacers inserted between events that are more than an hour apart, to help visually separate parts of your day.
